Z-M-O Oil is a topical remedy and has been used by people all over the country to relieve the pain from many different ailments. Among them are: cuts, scratches, burns, insect bites, arthritis, bed sores, sore throats, nasal congestion and more. Very effective when you message Z-M-O Oil into sore muscles after a strenuous work out or hard day's work. This is an external first aid treatment which has served our mail order customers since the late 1800's. 

Around the turn of the last century (1900) liniments and remedies were produced by many different pharmacists and companies. Because our country was growing and spreading out across the land it was necessary for the local doctors and pharmacists to produce their own medicines. Transportation limitations made the hometown pharmacist an important link in pioneer medicine. If you visit country restaurants and antique malls across the country you can find many of these old remedies or their packaging on display or for sale. Very few of those old remedies can be purchased today. Z-M-O has been supported by generations of loyal customers and is still being produced in Ohio. Z-M-O Oil has been known by many names (see our History). Some of our family favorites are ZMO (pronounced "zeemo"), ZMO OIL (zeemoil), and even "zoom zoom oil" (as some of the grandchildren called it).

NOTE: Z-M-O Oil (to the best of our knowledge) is the only remaining product developed by M. R. "Doc" Zaegel to be available today. Doc Zaegel was a Sheboygen, Wisconsin pharmacist from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's.
